Hey peeps!Lets chat going into the New Year with a fresh perspective and love for ourselves and the world around us :).
As 2019 draws to an end, its time to reflect on what we achieved this year, the challenges we faced, and what we can do to make 2020 even better!
I saw an article recently on Facebook (no idea if the article has merit, but it definitely got me thinking), the Life Expectancy for a Human is 38 years. But most achieve over that due to advanced medical treatments and availability. So, whats the point of this piece of information you ask? Well, I turned 30 this year. So technically, I only have 8 years left of "Life Expectancy". It got me thinking, what are you doing in your day to day life to make yourself happy? What can you change to make your life more full of love and joy? How can you enjoy downtime with your family more often than you do now?
In the past, I was definitely one to hold grudges. That chick from high school that constantly bullied me - hate her for the rest of my life. Something of slight inconvenience happens in the morning, my whole day is ruined.
But over 2019, something has shifted within my mind. I have learned to let go of things I can not control. I try not to hold grudges where I can. I am more focused on being the best person, mother and human I can be.
Have a think about it yourself and in your own situation. The garbage that you are holding onto and is effecting you daily, is this helpful? In 5 minutes, 5 days, 5 months, 5 years from now, is this shit even going to matter at all? Will you remember that Suzy from down the road didn't wave at you as you drove past? Will you remember that that waiter was rude to you? Are you harboring a hate/dislike towards something or someone based on your own insecurities? I have found that being focused and all encompassing on this type of petty crap, has taken my focus off my real life and what actually matters. The more I focus on myself, and less about what other people are doing, or the material objects they possess, the happier i have become.
So lets celebrate the good things that we have achieved in 2019. The people we helped, the community we contributed to, the little humans we are raising. Because once you're on your death bed, the little shit just doesn't matter anymore!
So what does all of this have to do with Beauty and Brows, and why is it a blog post?
When you shift your focus from the mundane bullshit, to what truly matters in your life, it feels like a weight has lifted. Your mind becomes a more beautiful happy place. You exude love and self confidence, inspiring others to be a better person too. You become brighter, lighter, and the world is your oyster.
Lust Aesthetics isn't just about brows. It's about encouraging and supporting the wonderful women that stream through our doors. I have heard the highs and lows of over 100 individual women this year, and I'm grateful that you feel comfortable enough to share with me your stories.
As long as what you're doing isn't hurting others, or illegal etc, who gives a fuck. And don't spend your time giving a fuck on someone who doesn't think twice about you. Focus on you and yours. You do you Boo!
Don't live the same year 85 times in a row and call it a life.
Have a wonderful New Years babes! I hope your 2020 is full of Love and Happiness.
